Take challenging, advanced and honors courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB), if offered at your high school.

A transcript of your grades (through the first or second quarter of your Senior year), including Senior year courses
The scores you have received in standardized tests, including the SAT I, the Subject SAT tests, AP or IB exams, etc. (you must request that the College Board send official SAT scores to each college you are applying to). Some colleges accept the ACT exam instead of the SAT.
Many require letters of recommendation from your teachers and guidance counselors.
